Nicéphore Niépce (Web thingy #1)

Nicéphore was born in Charlon-sur-Saône, France. He was a very interesting guy.. He joineed the french army under the control of Nepolean! He became a staff officer, then had to leave because of medical reasons.. Yeah.. QnQ But then he started becoming a photographer! Fascinated with obscura's and nature, his first attempt at taking a picture was in 1816. Then his first actual picture was 1826. Which is actually the picture belooow!

One day Nicécephone looking a camera (I think... )made by Charles and Vincent Chevalier and then over the summer in 1826, he made his first picture obscura! It was from the Saint-Loup-de-Varennes. He had to have 8 hours of light for this to print out! He used a polished pewter plate covered with this weird thing called...... Bitumen of Judea... But it says it's petroleum deivative!(whatever that is..) =w=; Sooo... Good job Nicéphone! Ow<
